Hello
I'm Katie the Director and Founder of Pip's Rescue Pack. I discovered the animal crisis in Texas about 7 years ago while scrolling Facebook during the Pandemic. I found multiple shelters with daily euthanasia lists and too many great dogs not making it out due in part to overcrowding. This started my journey into Texas rescue where I have assisted other rescues in saving dogs in need.

In May of 2025, I suddenly lost my very best friend Pip. He was our first foster dog when we were living in Washington State. We adopted him a few weeks into his foster care placement with us. He had the biggest personality in the smallest body. He loved toys, barking at everything and car rides (head out the window was preferable).

I decided in June 2025 to start my own rescue and figured this was the best way to honor my soul dog. Pip's Rescue Pack officially came to life in August 2025.

What We Do
We are a 501c3 foster based animal rescue. Our focus is on dogs and we solely focus on the State of Texas. Many of our dogs are rescued from county shelters in Houston or San Antonio areas. We also take in dogs people have found that are likely dumped or abandoned by their owners.
Our dogs receive all their medical care while in foster care. This gives us an opportunity to also learn more about behaviors, temperaments, likes and dislikes. We use this information to network on Petfinder and our website to find adoptive homes.

Where we Adopt

Currently we transport dogs to areas on the East Coast, Midwest and Pacific Northwest. We are also able to adopt to some Territories of Canada where adopters are able to cross the border to pick up from a US city. We do not adopt everywhere in the country as we do not have the means to do so.
