Every life saved at Pip’s Rescue Pack begins with the compassion of volunteers like you. We’re active across San Antonio, Houston and Austin and we welcome anyone 21 years or older to join our mission.

Dog Foster Parent

Opening your home gives a dog in need stability, love, and the confidence to find their forever family.

Responsibilities

  • Provide daily care: feeding, exercise, basic training, and socialization

  • Monitor health and behavior, reporting any concerns to our team

  • Coordinate video calls with potential adopters

  • Transport to and from vetting appointments and transport

Requirements

  • Secure, pet-friendly environment. Fenced yard not required.

  • Ability to commit to foster stays until the dog is adopted

  • Age 21 or older and located in San Antonio, Houston, Austin (or surrounding areas)

Dog Transporter

A dog transporter plays a vital role the welfare of foster dogs s by providing safe and reliable transportation for in need. They assist in picking up dogs from shelters and delivering them to foster homes helping to find loving families for these. Additionally, dog transporters take dogs to important vet appointments, ensuring they receive necessary medical care. With and dedication, they help bridge the gap between shelters and forever homes making a difference in the lives of countless dogs.

Responsibilities

  • Enter adoption applications and medical records into our database

  • Coordinate volunteer schedules, training sessions, and event logistics

  • Support fundraising mailings, grant research, and general office tasks

Requirements

  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office or Google Workspace)

  • Attention to detail and clear, friendly communication

  • Age 21 or older and located in San Antonio, Houston, or Dallas

Rescue Advocate (Online & Offline)

Responsibilities

  • Share adoptable dog profiles, success stories, and events on social media

  • Host information booths at community fairs, pet expos, and local gatherings

  • Educating friends, family, and businesses about fostering and adoption

Requirements

  • Familiarity with at least one social platform (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok)

  • Comfort speaking to small groups and building genuine connections

  • Age 21 or older and located in San Antonio, Houston, or Dallas
